As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) practitioner, Garth sees his role as helping people make well-informed decisions about their money and retirement plans – providing them with greater financial independence, peace of mind, and security.
To earn the CFP designation®, Garth had to complete an approved educational program, pass a rigorous examination and meet stringent experience requirements.
With over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry, Garth specializes in helping people generate income for their retirement years. He has demonstrated a consistent ability to guide his clients through the significant financial events that inevitably take place throughout their lives including, career changes, retirement, and the loss of a loved one.
Garth graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University, and has completed the CFP® Professional Education Program at the College for Financial Planning.
Garth values education as a way to promote professional excellence. He consistently exceeds the CFP® continuing education requirements through workshops, academic papers, web sites and books to further his knowledge in retirement income distribution, taxation and estate planning.
When he’s not working, Garth is a member of the board of directors of the Friends of Stevens Creek Trail, athletic and music booster at Homestead High School, regular blood donor at the Stanford Blood Center and enjoys spending time with his wife, Pamela, and their two daughters, Charlotte and Katie, traveling, and exercising.
